Germs spread easily (especially when people don't shut the lid!). I wouldn't want to wash my hands on this! Yeuk. That puts me off my Christmas chocolate and gingerbread. Grossss. I'd still rather use this environmentally friendly device than follow the "green" practice of "if it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down". One last thing; you can save a great deal of water per flush even on an older toilet by using a tank bank to displace more water in the tank or a float booster which allows less water to fill the tank before shutting off.
